Sutton's Next Project!

She will next be seen in Paul Weitz' new comedy, Trust, at Second Stage Theatre. Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, and Ari Graynor will also be appearing in this play.Previews begin July 23, 2010

The show runs August 12 to September 5.

Please note that Sutton's role in Trust is completely different from any other role she's ever played. The show is a dark comedy with adult content.

Sutton's Next Broadway Role!

Sutton has been confirmed to star in the 2011 Revival of Cole Porter's classic musical Anything Goes, with an opening set for February 2011. She will be playing the role of Reno Sweeney, a role originated by Ethel Merman, and played by Patti LuPone in the 1987 revival.

Sutton's Concert Tour

Sutton will be going on a concert tour in 2010.

She will be having a preview concert on January 24, 2010 at 11:30 PM at Joe's Pub in NYC.

"Join Tony Award-winner Sutton Foster as she returns to Joe’s Pub for a special preview of her upcoming concert tour. The late night concert will feature songs from her debut solo album "Wish” (Ghostlight Records), as well as some new tunes added for her tour."

Anyone Can Whistle, Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents' 1964 experimental satire of any and every target on the American cultural scene of the moment - conformity, psychology, race relations, greed, religion and politics ? divided the critics, thrilled the emerging counter-culture, baffled the masses and closed after a brief run, becoming an instant legend that has grown over the years as Sondheim's reputation has soared. The title song and "With So Little to Be Sure Of" have survived as cabaret classics, but the rarely-heard complete score is a riot of jazzy, show-biz razzmatazz, waltzes, gospel numbers and Broadway pastiche, as full of variety and surprise as the show that gave it birth. Anyone Can Whistle opened on Apr 4, 1964 at the Majestic Theatre, starring Angela Lansbury, Lee Remick and Harry Guardino, directed by Arthur Laurents, and ran for 12 previews and 9 performances. Anyone Can Whistle will run April 8 - 11, 2010.

"The musical should not be confused with a Frank Wildhorn work of a similar name. "Bonnie and Clyde: A Folktale" features a book by actor-writer [Sutton's brother] Hunter Foster, and music and lyrics by Rick Crom. The new work premiered last year as part of the New York Musical Theater Festival.

The reading will see Sutton Foster star as "Bonnie" to [Hair's] Will Swenson's "Clyde," and is directed by Mark Waldrop."
